A classic version of the afternoon tea culture. All beautiful art deco with its lush silver details and mirrored luxury. The food itself follows the standard sequence: sandwiches, desserts, scones and a couple of chocolatey goodness. The tea and sandwiches are refillable, but beware the whole experience is very filling. While everything was excellent, the sandwich could do with an update on the bread. The staff was effective and very friendly. The live piano finally adds that extra touch making this one of the best addresses in London for afternoon tea. The Xmas decoration is striking and made this an even more special afternoon.

What a wonderful experience for afternoon tea! The atmosphere was beautiful with amazing live piano music. The food was all amazing but the clotted cream and scones were especially delicious. The employees shared interesting historical information about the history of afternoon tea and even provided us with a little book we were able to take home about the history of tea and afternoon tea. We didn’t feel rushed and were able to have a relaxing and lovely afternoon tea experience.

Afternoon tea as it’s meant to be! Our time here surpassed our expectations on every level - the tea and food offerings were both wonderful and plentiful, as was the ambience with beautiful decor, a talented live pianist, and personable, attentive servers. Be sure to make a reservation!

We booked in advance for my husband‘s 45th birthday. We only had the weekend so it’s very convenient to book ahead. It was a fantastic experience and the afternoon tea was amazing. Make sure not to eat before the afternoon tea because you get a three course meal. Thank you for making my husband a special dessert for his birthday. We now understand why Langham has the best afternoon tea in London. Everything we ate is a piece of art and every bite was a feast in your taste buds.

Wonderful experience recently at the Langham for afternoon tea with our whole family, 1 year old included. The food was great, and the room beautiful, but what made the experience was the service from Doriana. She made sure our daughter had everything she needed, including scones and hot chocolate. We were very well taken care of the entire time, which makes it so much easier and more enjoyable with a baby. I even got a nice birthday surprise.

My mum treats me to an afternoon tea every birthday and we love to try a different one each year. This was our first time at The Langham and we were absolutely blown away...the service was impeccable. Our waiter, Allum, went above and beyond. The afternoon tea was delightful, the finger sandwiches were delicious, the pastries and cakes were absolutely outstanding...all so perfect! The scones came out warm and the fruitcake was excellent. The attention to detail was up there with the very very best! And it was an afternoon tea to remember! One of our new favourites in London!

I highly enjoyed my afternoon tea at The Langham Hotel! I am gluten free, as was my guest, and felt all of the safety needs of our dietary requirements were met. We were able to fully enjoy delicious alternatives to the sandwiches, scones, treats, and tea cakes. There was a savoury scone option (cheddar scones with a tomato chutney) that was so outstanding I got three refills! As well, the patisseries were superb AND there was an extra after tea cheesecake that was fabulous! The scones were good, but preference wise, I would have preferred them to be fluffier. As for the room itself, a lavish setting with attentive and courteous waiters created a welcoming environment. I really appreciate the live music! Overall, this was a fabulous experience. I go to a lot of high-end afternoon teas in London, and I would say this one ranks amongst the best. If you prioritize desserts and unique twists (the savoury scones!) then this is definitely where you want to go! Note: Unlimited free refills!
